Skin Care Products Review – I found these at Marshalls and T.J. Maxx

If I haven’t stressed this enough: I love Marshalls and T.J. Maxx because they always have so many different products from so many different brands and they all captivate my sight.

Not all products at these stores are cruelty-free, ethical, or organic so you have to be careful when you shop in there. You have to choose wisely.

What I like about Marshalls and T.J. Maxx is that you can find these products at a low price so you can use this to your advantage: to try new products. If you like the brand then you can continue getting their products. However, Marshalls and T.J. Maxx changed their products continuously so you might not be able to get the same products from them.

You can check my Learn Labeling on Cosmetic Products: Start Buying More Consciously! post to make your shopping experience easier.

Anyway, on my recent visit to these stores, I found some skin care products that I decided to try and which have worked marvelously for me.

Replenishing Facial Moisturizerreplenishing facial moisturizer

by Giovanni Eco Chic Skin Care

This moisturizer is infused with green tea and fig to help prevent dryness and it has been mixed with antioxidants acai and goji berry to improve the appearance of your skin.

This product is:

  • USDA Certified Organic
  • 100% Vegetarian Ingredients
  • Cruelty-free
  • pH balanced
  • It does not have parabens, lauryl or laureth sulfate, or PEGs
  • Hypoallergenic (unlikely to cause an allergic reaction)Image result for clinique moisturizer gel
  • Dermatologist and clinically tested.
  • Made in the U.S.A. from globally sourced materials

I have oily/combination skin and I prefer moisturizers that are more liquid than creamy so this has worked perfectly for me since it’s very liquidy. It does not have a strong smell, which is good, and it smells good. I used to use the Dramatically Different™ Moisturizing Gel from Clinique. This Clinique Moisturizer was my “go-to” and I thought it was going to be forever and ever but since I started making more conscious decisions and I want to use organic products on my face, I had to change.

by Promise Organic

This moisturizing is good for body, face, and hair. I have only used it on my face. It says it’s for dry skin but I use it and I have oily skin and I haven’t had problems with it. My skin absorbs it very quickly and my skin does not look greasy few minutes after application. I use it before applying my main moisturizer.

This product is:

  • Cruelty-free
  • Made from recycled packaging
  • Certified to NSF/ANSI 305
  • Free from parabens, harsh sulfates, silicones, artificial colorants, and synthetic fragrances
  • Dermatologist tested
  • pH balanced
  • Made in U.S.A.
  • They donate 1% of their sales to charities that help the planet.

Vitamin C Serum

by Oliology Facial Oils

This serum is made from Moringa Oil, which according to Oliology Facial Oils has five times more vitamin C than oranges. This serum improves collagen production on your face, it gives your skin a glow, and it keeps it soft.

This product is:

  • Cruelty-free
  • Made in U.S.A.
  • 100% Natural
  • Free of parabens and preservatives

I use it after cleaning my face before I go to sleep. I add only one drop because it feels like it’s a lot. You can use it day or night before you moisturize your face but since I already use my other moisturizer in the morning, I’ve decided to use this one in the night.

by Organik Botanik Australia

I absolutely love using coconut oil in my hair since my hair tends to dry very easily (even over the winter). Coconut oil has vitamin E that gives nourishing properties to it. I always use coconut oil products on my hair and they nourish my hair thousand times more than other products.

This product is:

  • Cruelty-free
  • Green Dot licensed (they recycle their packaging materials)

I have not tried this product yet but I cannot wait to try it and I will tell you all about after I do it.
